Attorney Scott Hess grew up in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and attended Franklin Pierce College. He graduated with a degree in Psychology. Hess attended law school at Western New England College School of Law for two years where he was a member of the Rendigs National Product Liability Moot Court Team, Clerked for the Honorable Kenneth Cote sitting in the Holyoke District Court, and was on the Dean’s list. He also volunteered with Western Massachusetts Legal Services.
Scott was a visiting student at the University of Maine School of Law during his last year in law school, where he participated on the trial team and was a student attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic. He graduated cum laude from Western New England in 2009.
After graduating law school, Scott started a law firm with another recent graduate. In 2010 he moved his practice to Augusta, and later joined a firm in the mid-coast. He returned to his practice in Augusta in early 2014 on Winthrop Street. Scott’s primary areas of practice are in appellate law, criminal defense, family law, bankruptcy, and personal injury. He is a staunch advocate for the protection of the constitutional rights of his clients.
Scott lives in Pittson with his wife, dog, lambs, and chickens. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys farming, fishing, hunting, mountaineering, and camping.
